SEASCAPES: Exhibition in 2 months!

It's been quite a while since I last sent out a newsletter, which is very bad form! In my defence, I have spent quite some time travelling around, visiting family in Guernsey and Spain, as well as starting a new job. It's been a busy time!
I haven't put the painting on hold though, even though it's been been difficult fitting everything in, but I took my sketchbooks to Guernsey with me to ensure that I was practising daily. I then started painting again properly, with a view to getting ready for my first solo exhibition in October!
My exhibition, Seascapes, is in two month's time, so it's coming around quickly and I'm preparing a range of original new and existing work, prints and cards in readiness. I'm very excited and a little nervous about it, but I would love to see you there. There's no pressure to buy - this is my first exhibition and the support and encouragement means everything, so please just pop along, say hello and have a browse around and a chat.
Enjoy the beautiful village of Portscatho at the same time, which is on the South West Coast Path and has a couple of lovely galleries, shops and a wonderful Sunday lunch on offer at the Plume of Feathers! The exhibition poster is below. I hope you like it!
Member's Show at The Poly, Falmouth
In other news, the cover image painting on my exhibition flier will be on display at the Member's Show at The Poly in Falmouth. 'Cornish Mizzle over Pendennis Castle' - a little oil painting on linen board - will be on display in Falmouth from 21st - 25th April. You can find more about the exhibition on The Poly's website here.

Cape Cornwall Visit
Not long after I sent my last newsletter I had the privilege to stay in one of the most iconic and incredible houses in Cape Cornwall with family. Wheal Call cottage was a Count House for the Boswedden group of mines. It is perched on the edge of the Atlantic, overlooking the Cape and has the most breath-taking and astonishing views. It was truly inspiring and exhilarating to visit, especially in April... I've included below a couple of photos and some sketches I made while I was there, including a short video of me sketching with that wonderful view out of the window. Thank you to my brother and his partner for making this possible. It was truly wonderful!
Thank you for all your support, as ever!
Bye for now, Tamsin
