Exciting News! My First Solo Exhibition, New Painting Release & Prints Incoming!

I have some truly exciting news to share! I’ve booked the dates for my very first solo exhibition at the Fisherman’s Shelter in Portscatho, on the beautiful Roseland Peninsula. The exhibition will run for two days on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th October 2026, and I would absolutely love to see you there. I’ll be bringing along a range of my original paintings, along with prints, other pieces of work and sketch books. I'll be bringing my paints along, so you are welcome to have a go as well!

Can I say thank you to fellow artist Penny Sherwood for encouraging me to go ahead and book this lovely place for my first exhibition. Penny's work is lovely so do take a look.

If you haven't visited the Fisherman's Shelter before then you can see a photo below. It's a delightful little space right on the harbour front in Portscatho. Please do come along and say hello and there are some lovely places to have lunch or coffee and visit the galleries or have a walk along the Coast Path while you're there. Thank you in advance for your support!

Open call at The Poly, Falmouth

I'm excited to have submitted two paintings to The Poly in Falmouth for their Spring Open art show. The two paintings I've submitted are 'Twilight Walk, Charlestown', an acrylic on canvas, and 'Cornish Mizzle over Pendennis Castle' which is a little oil painting on linen board. I'll let you know how I get on but I would be so pleased to have a piece in the show. The Poly is such a wonderful space - a multi-purpose art centre and community hub in town with so much going on. You can find more about what they do on The Poly's website here.

New Work

I've just added the following painting, which is called 'Morning Calm, Pendower Beach'. This original acrylic and ink seascape painting captures a tranquil early morning at one of my favourite beaches. Inspired by a still, morning stroll along Pendower Beach on the Roseland Peninsula, this abstract seascape layers acrylic paint, ink, and fine marble dust. It is a very calm painting. Each layer aims to evokes the calm of that lovely morning looking out from the beach towards the horizon, inviting you to feel how I felt on that early moment of stillness by the sea. It's a fairly big canvas at 63 x 63cm framed. All details can be found here.

Prints!

I have recently taken delivery of about 30 prints of some of my paintings in varying sizes. I'll be sharing these on my website soon, as soon as I can work out how to present them on the page. Not as easy at it might seem but I'll get there! If you have an image you like though please let me know if you'd like a print - I may already have one ready.

Thank you so much for your support and do feel free to share this link if you think anyone would be interested in seeing my vague ramblings! Enjoy the Spring as it emerges. It's about time surely!

Bye for now, Tamsin
