St Mawes Castle at Dusk is an original pen and watercolour, with wax, on cotton watercolour paper (300gsm). I've drawn and painted St Mawes Castle a number of times as I find it quite fascinating as a structure and its position looking over the Carrick Roads to its sister fortress, Pendennis Castle, is wonderful. Wandering up there at the end of the day in spring, there was a fieriness to the sky which was really vibrant!
