Sailing By, Portscatho is an original acrylic painting on watercolour paper, inspired by a walk from Portscatho to Towan Beach just a few weeks ago. It was a beautiful day on the Roseland Peninsula and I was determined to try and capture the lovely calm day. The greens, greys and aqua seas were just beautiful and keep changing in the light. 
 
The yacht sailed along with us out to the distance and created the most beautiful serene atmosphere beneath shifting clouds. The soft transitions of colour and light evoke the quiet beauty of the Cornish coast and the stillness of watching the sea from shore.
