From Mountain to Moorland is inspired by the meeting place between mountain and sea. The painting captures the shifting reflections across still water with the warm red glow of bracken across the moorland. A vibrant and atmospheric piece that evokes both the grandeur of the mountains in the landscape and the light rolling over the mountains. I didn't originally intend to include mountains but, as so often happens, the painting brought itself to life and there they stayed.
