Distant Storm, Towan Beach An original acrylic painting which was inspired by a stormy walk I took along the South West Coast Path between Portscatho and St Anthony Head on the Roseland Peninsular. I sketched at various points along the walk and on my way back the weather had calmed and, as I sat on Towan Beach, a distant storm flickered on the horizon. The day had an ethereal quality. It is difficult to capture in photos how tranquil this paintings is when you sit with it. Painted in Linen and Parisian Blue with marble dust to add texture, it has a serene and calm feeling.
