After the Storm  is inspired by the dramatic storm in December 2024 which left much of Cornwall without power. This piece captures the restless, yet calming energy of the sea at Gylly Beach in Falmouth the day after the storm. The waves, still unsettled, started to gather themselves into a rhythm again, while the storm clouds disappeared and faded into the horizon and the light constantly changes over the ruffled sea. I was so pleased when this painting found a wonderful home!
